The RAHD-SAFE Power Protection System measures 28 inches deep by 11.5 inches wide, by 25 inches high. It must be placed immediately adjacent to the system, and may go under a counter with adequate clearance for air flow.

A dedicated voice grade phone line is required for modem support, with a requirement for no manual (PBX) routing, which can introduce unpredictable, and unacceptable noise.

The maximum height of the system is 55 inches, except for the (optional) film scanner: 60 inches. A minimum ceiling height of 8 feet is recommended for access for maintenance, and ventilation. A maximum magnetic field strength of .02 Gauss is required: (Check location of your MRI).

The ventilation system must be capable of removing 5,000 to 10,000 BTU / hour from the space that contains the RAHD system. For W auxiliary stations: 2,200 BTU / hour. Ambient temperature must be greater than 60 degrees Fahrenheit and less than 74 degrees Fahrenheit. The optimum ambient temperature is greater than 68 degrees Fahrenheit and less than 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Any temperature change rate should be less than 10 degrees Fahrenheit / hour. Ideal relative humidity is greater than 20% and less than 70%, and the maximum rate of change is 8% per hour, to prevent condensation.

All electrical installations must comply with all applicable electrical codes. A single, dedicated branch circuit should be installed for the RAHD system. This branch should have a wire ground (not conduit ground). There must not be any other equipment, on this branch circuit.
