Or select MR, CT or multiple studies to be merged into one coordinate space. mrctfus.jpg (19456 bytes)

Next, select the CT image set that represents the reference volume, defining the image coordinate set that you want to use.

RAHD Infini/D Fusion offers tremendous flexibility. Any known image format can be fused with the reference image set. The only limitations are those encountered in the clinical environment.

IIdentify five or more complimentary anatomical landmarks in each image set.

alllandmarks.jpg (10988 bytes) A complete array of tools exist to assist with viewing the image and selecting appropriate anatomy.

Select the fusion algorithm that will best merge the target into the reference 3-D volume data set.

Choice of algorithms:
Affine -- best-fit rigid body matching with stretching

First order warp -- uses the 1st order terms of a 2nd order polynomial to fit, or merge, the volumes. Works well for locally constrained warping of soft tissue anatomy such as lung or abdomen.

Second order warp -- uses the full 2nd order polynomial to mathematically make the distortions necessary to fit large disparities in anatomy.

RAHD Infini/D quickly and accurately fuses the images based on the landmarks and the chosen algorithm.

Since most systems do not have the large high resolution monitor that is part of every RAHD 3D/Pro system, these images are not at full resolution.

RAHD provides a complete array of 2D and 3D tools

Exclusive Benefits
rahdinfindlogo.gif (540 bytes) Volumetric Fusion
  • Selectable algorithms (affine, 1st order warp, and 2nd order warp) to optimally fuse different types of study volumes.
  • Analysis tools for analytical and subjective (2D and 3D visual) review of the quality of the fused results
  • Interfacing from any image source (CT, MR, PET, or SPECT) via any media (network, MOD, tape, or CD) independent of time of study.
